V I V I group show in Cortona

For the third year the Art Adoption Cultural Association, under the direction of Massimo Magurano, presents and inaugurates in Cortona on Sunday 16 December 2018 the New Generation artistic project curated by Andrea Baffoni and Massimo Magurano.
The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Cortona, will take place in the historical center of the city and will involve 26 exhibition sites, public and private spaces and commercial activities, with which selected 29 artists will interact in a fluid dialogue, tracing an exhibition itinerary in line with the theme indicated.

The edition of this year, developing a heterogeneous process in the proposed visual languages, focuses the New Generation on sculptural research and on the large installations placed in the historical points of the city, squares and public spaces in connection with the theme and title VIVI, fil rouge of the entire exhibition project proposed by the Association Art Adoption.VIVI, affirmation and, at the same time, an admonition to a will of energetic and re-active presence in which art and, specifically, sculpture act as fundamental mediums of high sense and more.

On the calendar several surprises, interesting interactions and engaging anticipations to the official opening of the New Generation. On December 8th 2018 *, in advance of a few days from the inauguration date, two exhibitions of contemporary art will be presented to the public in the enchanting complex of Sant’Agostino of the XIII century located in the historical center of Cortona. In the Auditorium the solo exhibition entitled Il Gioco è il Tempo by the artist Paolo Mezzadri and, in the internal cloister of the same complex, the exhibition by Andrea Clementi.

A third edition of New Generation by Art Adoption, which is certainly reconfirmed by the passion and great will of its artistic director, Massimo Magurano, but also by the desired and active participation of a growing public, each year more and more present, attentive and expert; young curators, collectors, operators of the sector, but also simple curious and passionate people who discover, live and meet the territory and art in an open and shared way, relating and reflecting on the determined value of the work of art in the human evolutionary process .
In fact, pursuing this goal, Art Adoption is committed with tenacity and supports artistic research, strongly believing in the promotion of talents and in the enhancement of the art through alternative exhibition methods aimed at always connecting the territory and the community in a participatory relationship (t) VAT.

Rethinking, from time to time, the spaces, the routes and, above all, dialogue with the artists, real talents and actors of transformation; this and more is the Art Adoption project, this is the New Generation. An articulated ‘design’ that moves and develops interesting stimuli that lead to new possibilities and cognitive perspectives so that, in the relationship with art, one can vividly rediscover an internal visual sense involving a community present and each time more nourished, making it and making us consciously VIVI.

BOSCO CONTEMPORANEO

The Grefti Cultural Project, will present from 1 to 4 November 2018, for the 2018 Bosco del Bosco Festival, by Veronica Azzinari and Roberto Ghezzi, two young artists whose works and artistic processes we deeply admire.

Both artists are bound by the search for primordial knowledge, which leads them to act in and interact with the world, so to speak, “natural”; that is, trying to capture information from that world that exists beyond human culture.
Both artists have devised two workshops for the days of the festival and will be present during the exhibition to talk with the public about their work. Below is information about the activities.

Veronica Azzinari investigates with her artistic processes the memory of our cultural history preserved in Italian botany.
“Constantly immersed in natural environments I collect, physically and visually, the clues left behind by earth, plants, rock, water. I collect hidden information between the rhythms repeated by each element, between the methodical drawings within each seed, sprout, flower. ”

Veronica invites us on Sunday November 4th at 10 AM to follow her on a guided tour through the woods to experience the effects of Nature on our senses. An engaging experience that will be immortalized visually with the creation of a travel notebook returned to the Church of Santa Caterina.

Roberto Ghezzi’s technique reveals the forgotten creative forces of the Wood. Interacts and uses this “that lives in the environment and that, if there were not my supports, would inevitably fall on another landscape below, is instead intercepted by my paintings. I choose the place, the material, the form of the installation and the exposure time. Nature does the rest. When, after months, I decide to pick up my works from their creation environment and maybe place them in a gallery, here: I transport a part of “place” in a human space, something that does not represent but “is”.

Together with the Ass. Historically A.R.I.e.S. Hiking and Simonetta Cirilli (professor of geology at the University of Perugia), which will add a scientific point of view to the artistic creation specially designed for the territory of Montone, will be held an excursion on the site of the installation of Roberto in the Carpina River Sunday 3 November at 8 AM.

FLUMINA

The Marcolini Gallery presents Flumina, a project by Roberto Ghezzi that in his painting investigates a new possible (non) representation of nature. What Ghezzi establishes with reality is a mimetic relationship presenting the sign that nature imprints on previously prepared supports and on which then Ghezzi intervenes, modifying its appearance and final perception. His works are witnesses of an intimate union between man and nature, unique objects defined by the artist as a “natural mimesis”, the repetition of a sign that is itself nature. His “Naturografie” are cultures of cyanobacteria, algae, protists, aquatic lichens, rhizoids on which he intervenes by modifying the course of proliferation. “The sign that these organisms trace on the support is a curious and unexpected form of natural beauty that corresponds to the beauty of spontaneous forms of nature, such as spiderweb, corolla, foliage, and it is not representation, human sign”.

Inauguration on Saturday 27 October at 18.00

LIMEN – SPECIAL PROJECT

Roberto Ghezzi’s “naturografie” are works that arise from the effective collaboration between Man and “Ambiente” in which the artist prepares the supports that will be installed in the landscape, chooses the places where to place them and decides the exposure times. Everything else is done by Nature which, left to act undisturbed for days, months or years on the surfaces of naturography, acts like a painter on a white canvas. We then witness the creation of a “living” work of art that does not represent the landscape, but it is the landscape, for that time and on that support chosen by the artist for this purpose. For VIE PERIPHERICHE the artist will perform a tracing of the chemical and dynamic life of the river Savio.

During the residency, which lasted about six months, the artist installed some canvases in the lake, entrusting their care to the students of the Montessori School and involving them in the first person in his artistic research.
At the end of the school year the naturographies realized in this way were exhibited inside the Chiostro di Voltorre near Varese.
